Alicia Veé Carroll, age 63 of Murrayville, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Garland Driver will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carroll was born January 2, 1951 in Lake Worth, Florida to Lloyd Wayne Young and Ruby Ellen Reed Young. She was retired from Lanier Elementary School and was a member of Gospel Assembly Church. Alicia was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Ellen Reed Young and her husband, David Lamar Carroll.

Mrs. Carroll is survived by her father & his wife, Lloyd W. & Marcia Young of Dahlonega, sister & husband, Karen & Richard K. Pair of Clermont, nieces & their husbands, Tami & Danny Norris of Gainesville and Wendy & Tim Motes of Cleveland, grand-niece, Olivia Vae Pless of Gainesville, grand-nephews, Destin Milum, Dawson Motes and Drew Motes, all of Cleveland, step-brothers & wives, Grant & Tiffiny Nickerson of Gainesville, Gary Nickerson of Gainesville and Michael & Staci Nickerson of Carnesville, step-nieces & step-nephews, Misty Nickerson of Gainesville, Payton Nickerson of Gainesville, Reed Nickerson of West Virginia, Kiersten Nickerson of West Virginia, Britt Nickerson of West Virginia, Cohen Nickerson of Carnesville and Emma Nickerson of Carnesville.
