William Joe Tench

William Joe Tench, age 87, of Gainesville, entered into rest on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Robert Garrett will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Tench was born September 10, 1927 in Winder, Georgia, the son of the late Zed Tench & Isabel McDaniel Tench. He was retired from International Paper Company and was a member of Murrayville Congregational Church. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, J. C. Tench, Carl Tench and Otis Tench, 5 sisters, Louise Jones, Josephine Clark, Estel Gunter, Florine Archer and Genette McNeil, his wife, Louise Tench and his son, Joe Michael Tench.

Mr. Tench is survived by his children and their spouses, Dan & Joyce Tench and Diane & Raymond Loggins, grandchildren, Lori & Carroll Saxon, Emily & Kevin Brooks, Dustin & Leah Tench, Andrew & Brittany Tench, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
