Maudie Mae Shuler Cape

Obituary Date: Wednesday, October 22, 2014
Mrs. Maudie Mae Shuler Cape, age 97, of New Holland, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at her residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Mike Taylor and Reverend Stacy Phillips will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cape was born on May 01, 1917 in Alabama, but lived most of her life in Hall County. She was a member of New Holland Baptist Church. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the last member of her immediate family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Cape of 53 years, sons, Glenn Cape and Alton "Pickle" Cape, daughters, Geraldine Canada and Libby Ball, and grandson, Nicholas Foster.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Joy Cape of Gainesville, daughters and son-in-laws, Brenda and Keith Barnes of Cornelia, Linda and Ken Adams of Gainesville ,Connie and Lem Foster of Lavonia, Vickie and Wayne Lester of Cleveland, son-in-law, Steve Canada, daughter-in-law, Ms. Glenn Cape, 21 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren. Appreciation extended to her caregiver, Ann Waters.

Flowers are accepted, but those wishing may make a contribution to the charity of their choice "In memory of Mrs. Maudie Mae Cape".
