Elsie June Tench

Elsie June Tench, age 83 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at The Oaks of Limestone following a brief illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Church Cemetery. Reverend Raymond Latty and Reverend Charles Jenkins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tench was born June 1, 1931 in Demorest, Georgia to the late Hoyt Watson and Amy Church Watson. She was retired from Warren Featherbone and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Tench, Jr., her daughter, Linda Marie Tench, her grandson, Josh Manus, her great-granddaughter, Gillian Manus and her brother, Kenneth Watson.

Mrs. Tench is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Angelia & Ronnie Sprouse of Gainesville, Teresa & Wayne Phillips of Gainesville and Cheryl & Tommy Walls of Braselton, her son & daughter-in-law, Jim & Karen Tench of Cornelia, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, sister, Patsy Watson Ellis of Gainesville, sister-in-law, Sara Watson of Athens and a number of nieces and nephews.
