Scott G. Stephens

Scott G. Stephens, age 46 of Gillsville, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Stephens was born on April 23, 1968, in Habersham, Georgia, the son of Garland and Ellen Walden Stephens. He was loved by his nieces and nephews and was a beloved brother and son. Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jessie and Eller Stephens and Mary and Spencer Walden; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his parents, Garland and Ellen Stephens, Gillsville; brother and sister-in-law, Ashley and Crystal Stephens, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Stephen Moore, Gillsville; nieces and nephews, Duane and Angie Carroll, Scott and Elise Gustab, Brooklyn Stephens, Jessie Stephens; great nieces and nephews, Kaylee, J.R., Blake, Bella, Xavier, Kara; cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. W.A. Jenkins, the Rev. Donnie Wilkes, and the Rev. Michael Wilkes will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
