Sophia Lyn Bowles

Sophia Lyn Bowles, age 51, of Ila, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 following a series of extended illnesses.



Ms. Bowles was born on January 1, 1963 in Orlando, Florida. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Conner Allen Davis. Ms. Bowles was a member of Moriah Primitive Baptist Church and attended Faith Primitive Baptist Church.



Survivors include her parents, Lee R. and Linda Bowles, Ila, GA; daughter, Colleen Davis, Nicholson, GA; son and daughter-in-law, James and Christina McGovern, Nicholson, GA; sister, Sandra Dee Arnold, Ila, GA; grandchildren, Addison McGovern, Marshall McGovern, KayLee McGovern, Christian Davis, Christopher Davis, Allen Gunter; father of her children, Allen McGovern, Cornelia, GA.



Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Faith Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Ernie Bryson and Elder Charles Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in Faith Primitive Church Cemetery.
