Jeremy James (J.J.) Martin

Jeremy James (J.J.) Martin, age 40 of Murrayville, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Kiland Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Timberidge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 3:00-9:00pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Martin was born June 28, 1974 in Hessen, Germany to Jerome Curry Martin and Janice Martin Christy. Mr. Martin was employed at New Holland Mill as an Industrial Electrician and was a member of Timberidge Baptist Church. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Shauna Corinne Martin of Murrayville; son and daughter-in-law, Drew and Sabrina Howington of Ellijay; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Danny Mam of Norcross; son, Mason Martin of Gainesville; son, Jeremy Martin, Jr. of Murrayville; daughter, Angela Martin of Murrayville; son, Christian Martin of Murrayville; mother and step-father, Janice and Bobby Christy of Lula; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Dana Seymour of Flowery Branch; brother and sister-in-law, Scottie and Lisa Seymour of Oakwood; brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Ann Seymour of Helen; granddaughters, Abigail Martin, Olivia Mam and Aubrey Howington; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vickie and Byron Ledford of Murrayville; sisters-in-law, Melinda Harbison of Murrayville and Cindy Ledford of Westminster, SC; brother-in-law, Joshua Ledford of Murrayville and sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Jessie & Howard Potts of Westminster, SC.
