Bertha Simmonds

Bertha Simmonds, age 83 of Suches, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Gold City Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, November 7, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Andrea Simmonds will officiate.

Mrs. Simmonds was born June 27, 1931 in Cleveland, Georgia to the late William Winkler and Dora Nix Winkler. She was retired from Clores Restaurant and was of the Baptist Faith. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, I. W. Simmonds and her son, Robert Simmonds.

Mrs. Simmonds is survived by her daughter-in-law, Patricia Simmonds of Suches, sister, Janet Robertson of Blue Ridge, Georgia, sister & brother-in-law, Dorothy & Charles Clore of Gainesville, 3 grandchildren, Gerald & Janet Simmonds, Randy & Kim Simmonds and Kelley Simmonds and 4 great-grandchildren, Andrea Simmonds, Kyla Simmonds, Reina Martinez and Dorian Martinez.
