Elizabeth Hurley Barrett, 78, of Murrayville passed away Friday, November 7, 2014, following an extended illness.
Born on February 21, 1936 in Gainesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Barnett and Lizzie Burruss Hurley. She was a retired bookkeeper at Benson Bakery. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Barrett; son Lamar Barrett; grandsons, Taylor Barrett, Joshua Barrett, Zachary Barrett, Nicholas Barrett and Jacob Barrett; nephew and wife, Rickey and Patti Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Hopewell United Methodist Church. Rev. Tony Kemp, Rev. Barry Blakely, and Lamar Barrett will officiate. Interment will follow in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday November 9, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
