Danny Harold Hammock, 69, of Gainesville passed away on November 7, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Presley Funeral Home, 695 Buffalo Valley Road, Cookeville, Tennessee 38502, with internment to follow in the Smiths Chapel Cemetery. Reverend Stanley Jackson and Reverend Raymond Hensley will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 5-8 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mr. Hammock was born on July 22, 1945 in Gainesville to the late Robert Herman and Gladys Meadows Hammock. He was the owner of Mt. View Auto Repair and was of the Church of Christ Faith. He was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Hammock; sisters, Roselee Hammock Redmon, Lorene Hammock Thompson, and Willene Hammock Jackson.
Mr. Hammock is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda Bryant Hammock of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Dusty and Brandi Johnson of Braselton; grandsons, Dylan, Devon, and Dominic Johnson all of Braselton; brother, Franklin Hammock of Bucyrus, Ohio; sisters, Evelyn Hensley of Silver Creek, Georgia, Linda Young of Baxter, Tennessee, Brenda Vinson of Childersburg, Alabama; brother, Jimmy Hammock of Warren, Michigan; best friend, B.A. Parks (Red) of Gainesville; number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
