Glenda Lou Herring

Glenda Lou Herring, 71, of Northport, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to work in her yard and interior decorating. She was born in Bowdon, GA to the late Hugh and Gladys Granger. She grew up there working as a car hop at her dad's BBQ restaurant, Grangers BBQ and also working at his skating rink.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Meda Wiggins Hilyer.

She is survived by her husband, Lary A. Herring of Northport, AL; daughters, Diletta Wiggins of Covington, GA; Renee and Eric Lujan of Carrollton, GA; Tonya Hood of Sharpsburg, GA; son, Rick and Connie Wiggins of Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Kelsey, Lauren, Taylor, Kristin, Candi and Daniel; great grandchildren, Madison, Adaline and Corbin.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
