Darlene Crystal Hatfield

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Darlene Crystal Hatfield, age 52 of Cleveland. Mrs. Hatfield passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Friday, December 12, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Roger Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

Darlene was born in Thompson, Georgia on January 28, 1962 to the late Emmett Wheeler and Irene Louk Wheeler. She had lived in White County since 2001 and was employed as the receptionist at Pioneer RESA, a position she had held for past 8 years. Darlene loved her family and her many friends and some of her favorite pastimes were reading, deer hunting spending time with her dogs. In addition to her parents, Darlene is preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Blackmon and sister Virginia Rosier.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Hatfield of Cleveland; son, Raymond Hatfield of Dahlonega; brothers, Rev. Roger Wheeler, Beach Island, SC; Bill Wheeler, Harlem, GA and Carl Wheeler of Dearing, GA; sisters, Patty Miller and Loraine Haskens both of Dearing, GA

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 7pm. Flowers will be acknowledged, however it is requested that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2565 Thompson Bridge Rd., Gainesville, GA 30501.
