Josh Charles Gordon

Josh Charles Gordon, age 20, of Cumming, GA died December 19, 2014. Born in Atlanta on September 30, 1994, he was raised in Cumming. A recent graduate of West Forsyth High School in Cumming, he enjoyed a passion for football, weight training and outstanding friendships that truly last a lifetime. Josh was enrolled at the University of North Georgia in Athens. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charlie Gordon, Rogers City, MI.

He is survived by his parents, Chuck & Gretchen Gordon, Cumming, brother, Chris Gordon, a student at Southern Polytechnic in Kennesaw, GA, maternal grandparents, Ed & Jackie Kapala, Presque Isle, MI, paternal grandmother, Margaret Gordon, Rogers City, MI, aunts & uncles, Kurt & Ruth Kapala, Presque Isle, MI, Kevin & Sally Kapala, Presque Isle, MI, Jennifer Root, Lansing, MI, Ken & Gretchen Leppert, Rogers City, MI, Keith & Peg Gordon, Rogers City, MI, along with a number of cousins throughout the great state of Michigan.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the West Forsyth High School Booster Club.
