Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Juanita Simmons Brannon, age 81 of Maysville, Georgia who entered into rest Saturday, January 10, 2015. Mrs. Brannon was born in Buford, Georgia the daughter of the late Sylva Clarence Simmons and the late Lois Jones Simmons and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brannon is preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Taylor Dyer, daughter; Brenda Shaw, sister; Gaynelle Parker, brothers; Ralph and Paul Simmons.
Survivors include a daughter Anita Payne and her husband John of Maysville, two sons; Jimmy Dyer and his wife Brenda of Elberton, Jerry Dyer of Commerce. Four sisters; Gladys Giles of Rome, Sara Terrell of Elberton, Dorothy Ledford of Elberton, and Pauline Bryson of Cumming. Three brothers; Leroy Simmons, Junior Simmons, and Johnny Simmons all of Carrollton. Seventeen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Giles officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Dillon Patton, Paul Simmons, Tony Simmons, Bryan Dyer, Josh Dyer and Justin Dyer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4-8 P.M. Monday, January 12, 2015.
