Joe Maurice Burrell Sr

Joe Maurice Burrell Sr., 64, of Tiger, GA, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his residence. He was born March 20, 1950 in Rabun County and was the son of the late Joe A. Burrell and Thelma Chastain Burrell.



He is survived by one son, Joe Maurice Burrell, Jr. of Pennsylvania; three daughters, Lillie Marie Brady of Tennessee, Thelma Jean Woodard of Tiger, GA, Marella Amorette Burrell of Clayton, GA; companion and friend, Mary Ann Stonecypher of Tiger, GA; three brothers, Leroy Burrell of Clarksville, GA, Harold Burrell of Rabun Gap, GA and Prince Burrell of Rabun Gap, GA. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.



Joe once owned his own construction business and also worked for the Rabun County Road Department for many years. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He was of the Baptist faith.



A memorial service will be held in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 17, 2015 with Rev. Teddy King officiating.
