Matthew Scott Osborne

Obituary Date: Tuesday, January 13, 2015

Mr. Matthew Scott Osborne, age 28 of 115 Blackberry Lane, Gillsville, Georgia, the son of Leon and Janice Osborne passed away January 13, 2015.

As a young man, Matthew had an amazing career in Boy Scouts. He joined Toccoa Troop 217 in 1997 at the age of eleven and immediately developed a keen interest in advancement. Matthew not only earned the rank of Eagle Scout at the age of fourteen and was elected to the Order of the Arrow but during his seven years in scouting, he earned every merit that scouting offered, all 124. This is an achievement that only a select few accomplish nationally each year. Matthew was an inspiration to many boys during these years as he set a goal and let everyone know he intended to work hard enough to see it happen. Matthew played a role in Foothills Community Church during this time.

From Scouts, he played an important role in the family business, Osborne Wood Products, and then went on to other living opportunities experience other aspects of life.

Matthew was the CEO of Pro Site Builders, LLC, developing complex integration projects with educational instructions, real estate and business from coast to coast. As CEO, he oversaw developing a custom system able to track account balances for over 200 loan officers and 3000 mortgages, developed real estate CRM to allow tracking of all tenants in Atlanta Skyscrapers and to collaborate with the College Readiness Assignments for Texas team (CRAFT) to work with high school and college educations to develop college readiness assignments aligned to the Texas College and Carrier Readiness Standards. Matthew was experienced in using over 30 computer languages and platforms and worked on over 50 websites in his carrier. He was acclaimed to be in the top of programmers in his field.

Survivors include his parents, Leon and Janice Osborne of Toccoa, Georgia; brother, Jonathan Victor Osborne; three sisters, Sarah Ann Walker, Mary Beth Riley and Elizabeth Grace Osborne.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

The family will have a private graveside. Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Matthew Scott Osborne.
