Marcus M. Gazaway

Obituary Date: Sunday, January 25, 2015
Marcus M. Gazaway, 87, of Gainesville, GA, Forsyth County, born August 10, 1927, went to his heavenly home January 25, 2015. He was a member and deacon of Bethel Baptist Church in Forsyth County. Marcus is preceded in death by his wife, Eulene Bennett Gazaway; parents, Tom and Eula Mae Gazaway; step mother, Edna Hayes Gazaway; brothers, Brice, Ford, Ernest, Cline and sister, Jeanette Martin; great grandson, John Palmer (J.P.) Hammond.



Survivors include his brother, Theo Gazaway of Gainesville; step brother, Gene Hayes; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Beth Gazaway, Pierce (Betty) Bennett, Royce (Hilda) Bennett, Linda (Tyson) Gittens, Loyte (Gay) Bennett; children, Marshall (Gloria) Gazaway, Becky (Jake) Jacobs, Wanda Echols all of Forsyth County; 7 grandchildren; 14 great Grandchildren numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.



The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Crossroads Hospice for the special care given to their father during his sickness.



Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Richards and Rev. Greg Rawlins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, from 9 until the hour of service.
