Margaret "Peggy" Volmar

Margaret "Peggy" Volmar, 87, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday January 28, 2015 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born February 23, 1927 in New York to the late John and Katherine Dooley, she had lived in Georgia since 2000. Mrs. Volmar retired in 1997 at the Tax Receiver for the town of Somers, NY after over 30 years of service. Peggy was formerly employed as an executive secretary in New York City and was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Volmar; son, John Mazzei; and three sisters.

Surviving are her daughter and son in law, Lisa and Dennis Logan, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Peter Mazzei, John, Jr. and Patty Mazzei, Cariann Mazzei, Olivia Logan, Fraisia Logan, Bellamy Logan; great grandchildren, Jake Mazzei, Cassidy Mazzei, Jamilee Mazzei, Amanda Mazzei, Dylan Mazzei; great granddaughter, Kendall Mazzei.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday January 31, 2015 at 9 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Higgins will officiate.
