Dena Grizzle Justus

Dena Grizzle Justus, age 89, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015.

She was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Dena was the daughter of the late Duffie and Elsie Lingerfelt Grizzle, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Justus; brothers, Fred, Clyde, and L.D. Grizzle; and sister, Gwen Norrell.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Carolann Justus, Gainesville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Lanora and Stan Hefner, Cleveland, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Judd and Cunnie Grizzle; sister and brother-in-law, Maxie and Robert Garrett; sisters, Blonnie Summerour, Mae Lee, and Ostena Ray, all of Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Alison and Ryan Mandell, Blake and Jami Justus; great grandchildren, Georgia Mandell, Kathryn Mandell, and Reese Justus. Several nieces and nephews and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Dena are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. Dennis Fortner, Rev. Dave Fortner, and Chaplain Bob Fiedler will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 4 PM until 8 PM on Sunday, February 1, 2015.

Flowers are accepted, but in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Salem Baptist Church in care of Patsy Ferguson 893 Rock House Rd. Dahlonega, GA in Dena's memory.
