Roland Gerald Emmert

Roland Gerald Emmert, age 92, of Cumming, passed away February 7, 2015. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean and son, Glen.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Boling; son-in-law, Fred Boling and granddaughter, Mary Boling.

Roland lived most of his life in Texas. He moved to Cumming 6 years ago to be near his daughter. Mr. Emmert served in the Pacific during WWII and was very proud of his military service. Roland was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His gentle loving character endeared him to all those he met. The many stories of his life's adventures were always inspiring and entertaining. His family would like to thank the many loving hands who helped him in his final years.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Ingram Funeral Home with The Reverend Natalie Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
