Susan Elaine (Carter) Maciolek

Susan Elaine (Carter) Maciolek, 73 of Cumming, GA passed away on February 10, 2015 after a long fight with cancer.

She was born in Burbank California on December 6, 1941. Susan is survived by her husband of 50 years, Matthew E. "Skip" Maciolek of Kihei, Hawaii, a son and daughter-in-law Michael and Laura Maciolek of Dawsonville, Georgia, a daughter and son-in-law Katherine & Scott Coyne of Woodstock, Georgia and a brother, William "Bill" Carter of Los Angeles, California. She also leaves her beloved grandsons; Kyle, Daniel & Trey Maciolek of Dawsonville, Georgia.

Susan spent most of her adult life in Enfield, Connecticut where she worked at Hamilton Standard, and eventually retiring from Seabury Retirement Community. She moved to Georgia in 2006 to be with her children.
She was an active member of Cumming First United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution Chestatee River Chapter, the Red Hat Society, a volunteer at Northside Hospital-Forsyth as well as many other community and charitable causes.

Funeral services for Susan will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Cumming First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kathie Stasko will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:00
