Myrtle May Mooney

Myrtle May Mooney, age 86 of Flowery Branch, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Myrtle was born December 19, 1928. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Lona Mooney; her sister, Betty Lee Mooney and half brothers and half sisters.



Survivors include her brothers, Marcus Mooney, Clayton Mooney; sister, Frances Mooney Garrett; sister-in-law, Dora Mae Mooney and many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.



Myrtle loved the Lord and her family with her full heart. Her humble, gentle spirit was an inspiration to all who knew her. She loved gardening and quilting. Even though she never had her own children, she was a momma and grandma to many of us. She was especially close to her great nieces, Cherica Voyles, Carleigh Evans; great nephew, Saun Voyles and great great niece, Lilliana Amedu.



Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Henderson and Rev. Ruel Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.and Sunday, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
