Gladys Brizendine Cliatt Lang

Gladys Brizendine Cliatt Lang, 91, of Gainesville passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.


Gladys was born in Coalinga, California in 1923 June 20. Her parents were Oscar Brizendine and Nora (Young). Due to the death of her parents she was adopted at age four by Henry McBride and Cora (Brizendine). She grew up in Vidalia, Georgia and graduated from high school there. She graduated from Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, Gladys and Billy Cliatt were married in 1946.They had four children and they were raised in College Park, Georgia, All were active in the Presbyterian Church, Community and Schools. Gladys and Harold Lang were married in 1987 and moved to Gainesville, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, adopted parents and daughter Patricia Cliatt, and brother William Brizendine. She is survived by husband Harold A. Lang, sons William Cliatt (wife Dianna), Michael Cliatt, Richard Cliatt, step-son Stephen Lang (wife Katherine), 3 granddaughters, and one great grandson and one great granddaughter.


Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11:45 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00am
