Elizabeth (Betty) Lumsden Farrar, 88, of Lilburn passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Gwinnett Medical Center following a recent illness.


Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.


Mrs. Farrar was born on February 11, 1927 in Paterson, NJ to the late George Francis and Elizabeth Byrne Lumsden. She was a member of the Gainesville Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Henry Farrar, Sr., son, William Henry Farrar, Jr., brothers, George and James Lumsden.


Mrs. Farrar is survived by her daughter, Ann B. Gallagher of Burbank, CA, daughters and sons-in-law, Betty L. Guthrie & Jack Burman of Lilburn, Donna S. and James Henderson of Cumming, son, Tim M. Farrar of Murrayville, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, sisters-in-law, Chris Lumsden of California, Lorraine Farrar of Roopville, GA; 8 nieces and nephews.
