William 'Bill' Oscar Smart

Mr. William "Bill" Oscar Smart, age 82 of Dawsonville, formerly of Oakwood, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Bell Minor Home following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Bill Combs will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 5 - 7 pm at the funeral home.


Mr. Smart was born November 8, 1932 in Leicestershire, England to the late Percy Smart and Jean Hughes Smart. He was retired from Northeast Georgia Medical Center and was of the Episcopalian Faith.


Mr. Smart is survived by his nephew & wife, John & Nita Manterfield of Dawsonville, niece & husband, Terry & Tommy Rider of Gainesville, great niece, Leslie Manterfield of Dawsonville and brother, John Smart of Hickley, England.
