Thomas Alfred Pilgrim, Jr.

Obituary Date: Monday, March 9, 2015
Thomas Alfred Pilgrim, Jr. age 86, of Cumming, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 8, 2015.He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Pilgrim (2011); parents, Thomas and Myrtle Pilgrim and his sister, Geneva Wheeler. Tom served in the United States Air Force in 1952. He later went to work for General Motors from which he retired. Tom was always active until about 7 years ago. He loved the Lord and his church and was a charter member of Freedom Tabernacle. His other activities included farming and sharing the vegetables with friends and family, working on cars, building houses, camping and traveling.

Tom will be missed by his step-family who loved and cared for him. He is survived by his step-daughter, Judy (Barry) Cosdon; grandson, Brian (Tesa) Farr; granddaughter, Katrina Cosdon; great grandchildren, Chris Farr, Justin Westbrook, Graycie Cosdon; two great great granddaughters and longtime loving caregiver, Clara Bankston.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Robbie Mathis officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Contributions may be made to Halcyon Hospice or Freedom Tabernacle in Tom's name.
