She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Charlie Stafford, Reston,VA; Jackson Holbrook, Portland, OR; Hannah Holbrook, San Francisco, CA; Daniel Brown, Conyers, GA; and Cole, Brett and Gray Holbrook of Jefferson, GA, who loved her dearly.

Mrs. Holbrook was a life-long resident of Habersham County, where she and Wilmer Jr. raised their family in Clarkesville. Together, they instilled in their children an appreciation for education and learning, and a strong sense of personal and social responsibility. She was an avid quilter and her works are cherished by the many people who received them from her. She led an active life and had diverse interests, but her real joy came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She was honorary grandmother to many children of family and friends over the years, and because of her love and care, they, too, thought of her as "Nana". She loved people and was a devoted friend. Mrs. Holbrook was an active member of Clarkesville Baptist Church, a community volunteer in many humanitarian causes, and was well known for her compassion and support for those in need. She was loving and Christian in spirit and deed, and will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life Service is planned for Saturday March 21st at 1:00 pm at the Clarkesville Baptist Church, with Pastor Grady Walden officiating. Following the service the family invites all to gather in the Family Life Center for visitation and a time of remembrance.

The family requests that gifts in her memory be made to the Clarksville Baptist Church Community Outreach Fund, PO Box 667 Clarkesville Ga 30523.
