Obituary Date: Friday, March 20, 2015
Alton Hamp Wiley, 73, of Gainesville passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Oaks of Limestone following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with internment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Darin Cain will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Wiley was born on March 19, 1942 in Norfolk, VA to the late Tom Hamp and Hattie Mae Hamilton Wiley. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a truck driver for City Plumbing and Electric and was a member of Dewberry Baptist Church #2. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Wilburn Kinzey.
Mr. Wiley is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Elizabeth Wiley of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Paul House of Gainesville; grandson, Blanton Jimerson of Gainesville; sister, Jeanette Kinzey of Clermont; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Ronald Gilleland of Dawsonville, Marilyn and Bert Smiley of Dahlonega; several nieces and nephews; aunt and uncle, Ruby and Rudolph Baker of Oakwood; uncle and aunt, Leonard Wiley Jr. and Joan of Clermont.
