Conniss Defoor Cabe

Mrs. Conniss Defoor Cabe, age 88 of Toccoa, Georgia passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Betsy Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dunn, North Carolina.

A daughter of the late Ben Davis and Mable Woods Defoor, she was born February 22, 1927 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life.  She was retired from the Stephens County School System after 30 years of service as a cafeteria worker.  She was of the Baptist faith.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradford Cabe in 2014.

Survivors include four nieces and nephews, Timothy Ledford, Mark Ledford, Lynn Spencer and Mary Teresa Espizeto; two brothers, Hershel Defoor and Roy Defoor both of Toccoa; sister, Bobbie Ledford of Dunn, North Carolina.

Graveside services will be Sunday, April 5, 2 O’clock PM at Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 PM until the service time.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Conniss Defoor Cabe.
