Lilly Murphy Evans

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Lilly Murphy Evans, age 76 of Pendergrass, Georgia who entered into rest Friday, April 3, 2015.  Mrs. Evans was born in Jackson County Georgia, the daughter of the late William P. and Eliza Skelton Murphy, was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Mitsubishi Electronics. 

Mrs. Evans is survived by her husband of fifty- two years, Wallace Evans of Pendergrass, daughter, Lisa Bennett of Jefferson, son; Greg Evans of Pendergrass, two sisters; Clara Thomas of Bartow, and Buna Buffington of Gainesville.  Four grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, April 6, 2015 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Spence officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5 – 8 P.M. Sunday, April 5, 2015.
