Madge Stone

Mrs. Madge Stone age 91 of Gainesville passed away on Thursday April 09, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday April 12, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Drewery Loggins, Reverend Clack Stubbs and Reverend Ricky Stone will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday April 11, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stone was born on November 30, 1923 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late George Ivey and Carrie Whiting Ivey. She retired from Chicopee after 45 years of service. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years, Jordan “JD” Stone, 5 sisters, 2 brothers, 1 sister-in-law, and 8 brother-in-laws.

Mrs. Stone is survived by her sister, Lounelle Justus of Gainesville, sister-in-law, Virginia Ivey of Gainesville, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, great-great nieces and great- great nephews, countless friends who all loved her dearly and will miss her.
