Joseph Allen Martin, Sr.

Joseph Allen Martin, Sr., 69, of Clarksville passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Martin was born on July 1, 1945 in Mount Airy, GA to the late Cicero Washington Martin and Dorothy Colaine Loudermilk Martin Edwards. He served in the United States Army and was retired from Martins Painting. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Javon Martin; sister, Julie Martin.

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. Heffner Martin; children, Jeannie Martin, Sommer Martin, Paula R. Martin and Joseph A. Martin; grandchildren, Joseph A. Martin III, Jessie R. Conner and Casie L. Evans; great grandchildren, Hayden A. Evans and Ryder K. Martin; brothers and sisters, Jack A. Martin, Johnnie A. Martin, Janet A. Morgan, Jerrie A. Myers, Janie A. Grant, James A. Martin and Jeannie Tallant.
