Shannon Hodge Godsted

Shannon Hodge Godsted, age 56, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015.  She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny F. Hodge; sister, Edith Brown; and brother, David Edward Delair.  She is survived by her husband of twenty-eight years, Jim Godsted; children, Justin and Amber Godsted, Winder, GA, Jessica and Quentin Ray, Winder, GA, and Michael Foster, Hoschton, GA; five grandchildren, Jayden Godsted, Parker Godsted, Jordan Ray, Landon Ray, and Aidan Ray; mother, Shirley Murray, Commerce, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Ed Hoffman, Milton, FL, and Cheryl Hodge, Lawrenceville, GA; brother, John Hodge, Buford, GA; and mother-in-law, Jennie Godsted, Wesley Chapel, FL  Mrs. Godsted was born August 3, 1958 in Atlanta, GA.  She was a 1977 graduate of Tallulah Falls High School and graduated from Clayton State College with an Associate Degree.  She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.  Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Walters officiating.  The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Action Against Hunger/ACF, www.actionagainsthunger.org in memory of Shannon Hodge Godsted.
