Shelley G. Bailey

Mr. Shelley G. Bailey, age 72, of Crawford, GA and formerly of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glad and Lavonia Bailey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Golden and Lorraine Roper Braswell. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Jan Braswell Bailey, Crawford, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Charie Bailey, Athens, GA; grandson, Cason Bailey, Athens, GA; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Mr. Bailey was born March 13, 1943 in Sugar Hill, GA. He was a 1961 graduate of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA. In the early years of his career, he worked with the family owned business in Hardwood Floors. He later owned and operated a Hobby Shop and Race Track. He later retired and moved to Oglethorpe County where he enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, golf and working with tractors. He was a member of Hopewell Christian Church in Lawrenceville, GA.
