Eugene 'Gene' Emory Wallis

Eugene “Gene” Emory Wallis, age 83, of Cumming, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015. Gene was formerly employed by Lockheed.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Gene was the owner of Gene Wallis Body Shop.  Everyone that knew him will always remember his wonderful smile.  Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Fay and Willene Wallis; 3 brothers, Harold, Heyward, and Norris Wallis; grandson, Chase Mills Wallis.

The family would also express a special thank you to his caregiver, Sue Bogar, and Embracing Hospice.

He is survived by his wife Mildred Wallis of Cumming; children, Greg (Linda) Wallis, Dennis (Robin) Wallis, Debbie (Harley) McClure all of Cumming; sisters, Lunell Robbs and Mary Wallis of Cumming; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Ingram Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Brody Hughes, Rev. Gerald Blackburn and Rev. Donnie Nix officiating. Interment will follow at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 5, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. and on Wednesday, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church Building Fund.
