Phyllis Kesler Davis

Mrs. Phyllis Kesler Davis, age 61 of 907 Oak Point Drive, Cleveland, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at her residence.

A daughter of Idell Anderson Kesler and the late W.A. Kesler, Sr., she was born March 14, 1954 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived most of her life and the last 10 years in Cleveland, Georgia.  She owned and operated Phyllis’s Beauty Nook in Toccoa for a number of years.  She was a member of Helen First Baptist Church, the Couple’s Sunday School Class and served in church hospitality activities. She volunteered at Cleveland Community Thrift Store. 

Survivors include her mother, Idell Kesler of Commerce, Georgia; husband of the home, Gary Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Tera and Brian Johnston of Cleveland, Georgia; son, Joel Davis of Buford, Georgia; two grandchildren, Ben and Morgan Johnston; brother, W.A. Kesler, Jr. of Toccoa; sister, Peggy Cain of Commerce, Georgia. 

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 16, 11 O’clock AM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jim Holmes and The Reverend Paul Garrison officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Larry Poole, Dennis Brewer, Jerry Moore, Mike Ivester, Greg Garrison and Phillip Garrison.

The family will be at the home in Cleveland and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 5 PM to 8 PM. 

Interment will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Phyllis Kesler Davis.
