James Roy Brooks

Mr. James Roy Brooks, age 90 of Maysville died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Northridge Health and Rehab Center.  Mr. Brooks was born in Pendergrass, GA to the late, Roy Alfred and Bertie Adams Brooks.  Mr. Brooks was a retired carpenter, member of Maysville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher, and he was a board member of the Maysville Fire Department.          

Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife, Betty Short Brooks of Maysville; son, Tim Brooks (Tracy) of Maysville; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.           

Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 16 at 3:00 PM from Maysville Baptist Church with Dr. Shane Roberson officiating with the interment following at Sunrise Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 5-8 PM.
