Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 16, 2015 at Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church for Barbara Ann West age 79 of Gainesville. The Rev. Darryl Womack will officiate. The body will lie in state from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. West passed away Thursday May 14, 2015.
Mrs. West was born in Lumpkin County and had lived in Hall County most of her life. She retired from Big Star and was a member of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Head and Beulah Norrell Head and Husband Ellis West.
Survivors include Daughters and Sons-in-law, Kay and Barry Huff, Gainesville, Donna and John McBroom, Flowery Branch, Pam and Aaron Wade, Lula, Heather and Zak Mouzakis, Gainesville, Brother and Sister-in-Law, Kenneth and Sara Head, Gainesville, Grandchildren, Aaron Pirkle, Brandon Pirkle, Brittany Pirkle, Christopher Huff, Brent West, Tyler McBroom, Emily McBroom, Marissa Wade, Meagan Wade, Chloe Ellis, Caden Ellis, Kendall Mouzakis, Great Grandchildren, Karli Ann Pirkle and Georgia Jones.
