James L. Ruggles

James L. Ruggles, 80, of Dawsonville, GA passed away on May 30, 2015.  He was born in Eddyville, Iowa to the late Jeannette and Warner Ruggles.

James had a great love for motorcycles and riding. He spent many years building racing engines for NASCAR and other racing outfits. He was a long-time owner of Ruggles Performance.  He also enjoyed working for the Elliott’s after his retirement to further pursue his love for engines and racing.

James is survived by his sons Jim Treece (girlfriend Lori Boyarsky) of Modesto, California, Thad (Donna) Treece of Redding, California, Troy (Diana) Treece of San Jose, California and Brad Treece (girlfriend Donna Malech) of San Jose, California. He is also survived by his sister, Doris Lee, of Phoenix, AZ and his brother Charles Ruggles both of Phoenix, AZ and 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
