Brenda Kay Miller

Mrs. Brenda Kay Miller, age 59 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.         

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Jim Austin and Reverend Daniel Thompson will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.         

Mrs. Miller was born April 8, 1956 in Longview, Texas to the late Henry Thompson and Marjorie Shanks Thompson.  She lived in Starkville, Mississippi for 20 years before moving to Gainesville.  Brenda was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Alan Miller.           

Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Matt Miller of Gainesville, her daughter & son-in-law, Stephanie & Shannon Gibbs of Braselton, son, Michael Miller of Mooresville, North Carolina, brother, Lowell Thompson of Starkville, Mississippi, sister, Barbara Welch of Rogers, Texas, grandchildren, Austin Loggins of Braselton, Madison Gibbs of Braselton, Zack Miller, Kylie Miller and Carson Miller, all three of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and one great-grandson, Wyatt Miller of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.          

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at www.nationalmssociety.com.
