Joann Drake Seymour

Mrs. Joann Drake Seymour, age 77, of Commerce, GA died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at St. Mary’s Sacred Heart. Mrs. Seymour was born in Ila, GA to the late Judson and Reba Beck Drake. She was a member of Sunshine Methodist Church and was retired from Milliken Company. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Seymour was preceded in death by her husband, John Seymour.

Mrs. Seymour is survived by her children, Deborah hooper McGinnis of Summerville, David Hooper of Toccoa and Larry Hooper of Lavonia; step-children, Marilyn McKie of Maysville, Barbara Seymour-Piedilato of Iva, SC, Sandra Sheridan of Maysville, Mitch Seymour of Ila and Sharon Seymour Ward of Commerce; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren and 22 step-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 AM, Saturday, June 13 at Jackson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Adam Tripp officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 6 to 8 PM.
