Dorothy Ferris Ratchford Smith

God chose to bring Dorothy Ferris Ratchford Smith, age 91, of Jonesboro, home to Himself on Thursday, June 25, 2015.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2015 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home in Flowery Branch, Georgia with interment at Flowery Branch City Cemetery.  Rev. Steve Fenlon will officiate.  The family will receive friends 10:30 – 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emory H. Smith, Sr. and daughter, Terrie Ann Smith Rodgers.  Survived by children:  Emory & Anita Smith, Sandra (S) & Charlie Dodson, Kavin & Mary Smith, Karen (S) & Brad Jenks, 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and brothers, George (Janice) Ratchford and Roy (Julie) Ratchford.

Dorothy was a long-time member of Briarcliff Baptist Church in Atlanta.  She enjoyed travelling with friends in group trips, working in the yard planting flowers, reading a good book, and loving on and getting together with her family that loved her deeply.
