Carole Anderson Caldwell

Funeral services for Carole Anderson Caldwell, age 72 of Clarkesville will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville.  Pastor Mike Franklin and Dr. Craig Ward will officiate with interment to follow the service in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.   

Mrs. Caldwell passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. 

Born on November 12, 1942 in Banks County, Georgia, Mrs. Caldwell was the daughter of the late Ralph and Emily Bond Anderson.  Mrs. Caldwell completed her undergraduate studies at Berry College and earned her Masters and Specialist Degrees from the University of Georgia.  She served as Home Economist for Habersham Electric Membership Corporation and was a school teacher in the Meriwether and Habersham County school systems.  Mrs. Caldwell later served the Habersham school system as Curriculum Director, Personnel Director, and Interim School Superintendent.  She was also a member of the Retired Teachers Adsociation.  Mrs. Caldwell was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, having served in the WMU and various committees as well as the church librarian.   

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Caldwell is preceded in death by her husband James Caldwell and son Jim Caldwell. 

Survivors include son and daughter in law Charles E. "Chuck" and Pam Caldwell of Mt. Airy, sister and brother in law Becky and Bobby Webb of Clarkesville, grandchildren Kaleigh Caldwell and Colby Caldwell, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 4-7 PM.
