James L. Taylor

James L. Taylor, age 84, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-one years, Evelyn Johnson Taylor; daughter, Connie Taylor; and son, Dwight Taylor. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and David Adams, Sugar Hill, GA; grandchildren, Kim Thomas, Amy and Jason Kimbrell, Lisa, Dana, Miranda, Carissa, and Chad Adams; several great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Geneva Chatham Taylor, Sugar Hill, GA, Grace Johnson Mays, Lawrenceville, GA and Reba Stewart Johnson, Lawrenceville, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Taylor was born May 5, 1931 in Gwinnett County, GA. He received his education from Sugar Hill School. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and was retired from the City of Duluth Maintenance Department. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Hudlow officiating. Interment will follow at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrenceville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
