Tony James Vandiver

Tony James Vandiver, age 63, of Clarkesville, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015.

Born on September 2, 1951, in Habersham County, he was the son of the late William Brofford Arrowood and Virgina Sosebee Addis. He was formerly employed with Shook’s Landscaping and enjoyed fishing, wood working, canoeing, reading and antique automobiles.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Vandiver was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashton Crosby; brother, Jerry Arrowood.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Lisa Vandiver of Clermont; daughter, Robin Wood of Cornelia; grandchild, Kadin Wood; brothers, Kenny Arrowood and Ronnie Arrowood of Clarkesville; sisters, Malaine Arrowood Mulkey of Meridian, Mississippi and Sue Arrowood Bottoms of Huntsville, Alabama; aunts, Bernice Raper of Clarkesville and Eva Arrowood Moore of Cornelia; uncle, Frank Arrowood of Mt. Airy.

Memorial services are 2 pm Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Terry Rice officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour on Sunday at the funeral home.
