Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 25, 2015 at Belmont Baptist Church for Frances Lancaster Bailes, age 89, of Gainesville. Rev. Tim Strickland will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Bailes will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. The family will receive friends Friday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Bailes passed away July 21, 2015.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Bailes was a patient and loving mother. She was a member of Belmont Baptist Church and was known in the Belmont community as “Mema” and welcomed all to her house. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Bailes and grandson, Jacob Hunter Mitchell.
Survivors include son and daughter in law, Tom and Jerri Bailes, Athens; daughters and sons in laws, Sara and Donnie Mitchell, Talmo, Nancy and Eric Loggins, Bowling Green, KY., Tammy and Steve Moon, Gainesville; grandchildren, Josh and Michelle Loggins, Wendi and Kerry Ivester, Adam and Katlyn Moon, Eli and Danielle Moon, Luke Moon, Mack Mitchell and Peyt Loggins; great grandchildren, Avalyn Moon and Cohen Loggins.
