Mary Janice “J.B.” Blessing

Mary Janice “J.B.” Blessing, 67, of Gainesville passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Andy Witt will officiate. The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Blessing was born on September 9, 1947 in Clarke County to the late John Nolan and Mary Lucy O’Kelly Beckum. She was retired from Fieldale Farms and was a member of Redwine Methodist Church.

Mrs. Blessing is survived by her husband, Bill Blessing of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Larissa Dawn and Brian Thames of Gainesville; grandchildren, Starr Thames, Will Thames and Jonathan Thames; sister, Diane Jost and several nieces and nephews.
