Sophie Utlek Langert

Mrs. Sophie Utlek Langert, age 85, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015. She is survived by her husband of over sixty years, Edward G. Langert, Buford, GA; children, Carol and Pat Lafargue, Suwanee, GA and William Langert, Brookline, NH; two grandchildren, Michael Patrick Lafargue and Jacqueline Renee Watts; great grandchildren, Sabastian Lafargue, Luke Christopher Watts and Margaret Sophie Ann Watts. Mrs. Langert was born August 23, 1929 in Bronx, NY. She was a retired legal secretary. She was a member of Christ Our Lord Lutheran Church in Lawrenceville, GA, volunteered with Meals of Wheels and was a member of Kings Queens Social Group. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Our Lord Lutheran Church in Lawrenceville, GA with remains placed in state at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Bob Mitchell will officiate. Entombment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
