Connie Marie Martin Barrett

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Connie Marie Martin Barrett, age 60, of Athens, GA, of the South Jackson community, who passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2015. Mrs. Barrett was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, a daughter to Mrs. Ora B. Nitman Kittle of Athens, GA and the late Gerald Martin. Mrs. Barrett was a member of the Christian Life Worship Center and had worked at Westclock and Walmart. In addition to her father, Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her step-father, John “Buster” Kittle and sister, Judith Armes.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa and Brad Ruark of Hoschton, son, Brennen and A. J. Winters of Titusville, FL, mother, Ora Bell Kittle of Athens, sister, Martha Allen Carey of Athens and 2 grandchildren, Ethan and Parker Ruark.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2 PM in the Christian Life Worship Center with Rev. J. Brian Williams and Rev. Dr. Hugh H. Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm at the Church, prior to the service.
