Billy R. Cofer

Billy R. Cofer, age 67 of Buford, GA died Tuesday, August 4, 2015 after an extended illness. Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Danny Newbern will officiate. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hester Cofer,  brothers, John Henry Cofer, Larkin Cofer, Oliver Cofer and Archie “Doc” Cofer. Sister, Janie Cofer Johnston.  He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Stalls Cofer, Buford. Children, Christy Wallace and husband, John, Lawrenceville, Kevin Mosley, Buford. Grandchildren, Austin Plunkett, Rebecca Murnaham, Cheston Plunkett. Great Granddaughter, Sarah Plunkett. Sister, Clara Mae Bailey, Buford. Brothers, Frankie Cofer and wife Jean, Powder Springs, Talmadge Cofer and wife, Marion, Nicholson. Sisters In-law, Flossie Cofer, Buford, and Cam Cofer, Lawrenceville. Billy was born in Buford and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam Era.
